Improvements since the 2007 Library Survey
Library collection is adequate to my needs
As well as adding more print books to our library collection, we’ve also increased the range of ebooks and online journals.You can link to these electronic resources from our catalogue.
Access to electronic resources is easily available and Off-campus access to electronic information resources and services is adequate.
We now have more online resources than ever before. Many of the most important resources for study can be found in eReserve. If you are a student, your eReserve items can be accessed directly from MyUNE. We’ve also included links to the key databases you need for your subjects in MyLibrary (part of myUNE).
We still offer our great document delivery service for off-campus students: we will scan chapters or articles and send them to you electronically or by mail.
Library catalogue is easy to use and The library catalogue provides clear and useful information.
We’ve made several changes to the Library catalogue to make it easier to use. These improvements include:
- a reduction in the amount of screen clutter;
- the display of book covers (where available) in catalogue entries;
- inclusion of tables of content for books (this feature helps you chose the chapter you want us to send to you); and
- inclusion of book reviews and abstracts.
Course-specific resources are easy to find and access
MyLibrary now has links to eReserve so you can access them from there or via the Library’s home page. Physical Reserve items (books, audiovisual items, etc) can be searched directly from the catalogue by clicking on the Reserve room tab.
The library web site is easy to use and Library web pages provide clear and useful information
The Library web pages are now easier to use. Click on Services and click on the link that relates to your catagory of study: new student, overseas student, local student. This will present you with a page giving you quick and easy ways to find the information you need.
