Born in Italy (Lanusei,Sardinia), completed pre-university studies at " Liceo Classico" focusing on Italian Literature, Latin and Greek History and Literature , History of Art.
Graduated (1986) at University of Cagliari in " Foreign Languages and Cultures " with a thesis on the metaphysical aspects in the poetry of Edwin Muir.
Has been teaching English Literature and culture in Italian High Schools and post-diploma professional courses for the last 20 years.
Started teaching at UNE this year as "Lettore MAE" appointed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Involved in the teaching of the following courses : ITAL 101, 102 , 201, 202.
Research interests
Although specialised in English Literature, interests have also focused on Italian Literature, especially poetry and contemporary Italian novel.
Research activities have included Gabriele D’ Annunzio’s novels and "Decadentismo" in Italy, Petrarchan poetry and its influence on the structure of the sonnet in European Literature of 14th and 15th C.
