Prior to joining the School of Law in 2003, Craig worked for 12 years as a solicitor, including as a partner at Gadens Lawyers Melbourne, specialising in commercial litigation.
Craig teaches Media Law, Intellectual Property Law (copyright), Information Technology Law and Jurisprudence (legal reasoning) and has also co-ordinated the Honours-in-Law research unit, LS 400. He is currently chair of the School teaching & learning committee and a member of the UNE intellectual property committee.
Craig is currently undertaking doctoral research on the topic, ‘Defamation in the Australian colonies, 1824–1874’. He is also a board member of the North and North West Community Legal Service, a member of the Duval College senior common room and coaches the ‘Auskick’ junior AFL clinic in Armidale.
