To view the position statement for a vacancy, select the vacancy by title from the jobs at UNE > Current Vacancies page. With the full advert in view, use the right hand scroll bar to move to the bottom of the page where the position statement link is located. Some jobs at UNE are only available to Australian Citizens or those with a valid working Visa that covers the term of the position. For any job requiring a Visa, if you are not an Australian citizen, you must attach a copy of your current Visa with your application. Check the advertisement to see if the particular job you are applying for requires a Visa. This message will usually appear near the top of the advertisement if a Visa is required to be held prior to lodging an application. Please email jobapplication@une.edu.au if you require further clarification regarding your eligibility to apply. Selection criteria are the skills, knowledge and qualifications that have been defined as essential (or desirable) to meet the requirements of a position. All advertised vacancies at UNE require applicants to address each of the selection criteria for the position. As the first stage of the selection process is based on your written application, it is important that you provide the selection committee with information that demonstrates your ability The selection criteria can be found in the Position Statement/Information document attached to all advertised positions. For further guidance on how to address selection criteria you can refer to the preparing and submitting an application section of our website. Please submit your documents as a combined Adobe (.pdf) file whenever possible. All files combined should be no more than 2mb in size. Please also ensure your attachment filenames do not include special characters such as apostrophes, commas, ampersand, full-stops (', ; & .) etc. as the file will become invalid and unable to be opened for viewing by the panel. Yes, with your application you must include the names and contact details of preferably three referees. Referees should be current or previous managers/supervisors, or instead someone who has a detailed knowledge and able to attest to your attributes against the selection criteria. Selection is on the basis of the applicant's merit in relation to the selection criteria. It is the policy of UNE to provide equality of opportunity in employment for its staff.
