Moodle
Moodle
UNE is pleased to announce that we are moving to a new online learning system called Moodle that will replace our Blackboard and Sakai systems. This move is part of an ongoing stream of activity designed to enhance student learning experiences.
The UNE Moodle learning environment is fast, flexible and adaptable and provides a simple, clear view of all learning activities and resources for a unit. Moodle works as the central point for your learning. For example, assessment information and assignment submission are all contained within Moodle. Together with the myUNE portal, it serves to save you time by aggregating all information in clean, simplified views.
Accessing online unit sites
All units starting in Semester 2 will be accessed in Moodle, with the exception of some year-long units that have already commenced in Blackboard which may continue in that environment to the end of 2011. You will access Moodle in the ways you’re used to – via the ‘myStudy’ tab in myUNE or directly at http://moodle.une.edu.au.
The Semester 2 Moodle sites will be released on 11 July. You are welcome to access these from this date and become familiar with the site and view the content that is available at that time. Be aware that teaching does not officially start for Semester 2 until 25 July and teaching staff may not be available until then to answer your enquiries. Content for some units may continue to be added as the semester progresses.
