Email Settings
Student email has been migrated to the new Office 365 cloud service on Monday, 26th November 2012 - please check the Office 365 website for more information if you are a student.UNE student's can access their email here.Staff generally use Microsoft Exchange for email. Only use the settings below if you have opted out of Exchange or have not yet been migrated.These setting below apply to UNE staff that are still using UNE's Unix mail server.

Basic Settings for UNE Staff only if you are a UNE student please see aboveYou will need your UNEusername and your password to connect
OutlookTo set up a new email account in Outlook, go to Tools Select Email Accounts. Select Add a New Email Account (To change existing settings select View or Change Existing Email Accounts). Select POP3 as the server type and continue Fill in the next screen with the following details (with your details instead of Joe Blogg's)
Back to top Mac MailIn Mail, click on Mail then Preferences and select the Accounts icon from the row of icons. The most important settings for Mail are as follows: Email Address: yourUNEusername@une.edu.au Incoming Mail Server: mail.une.edu.au Outgoing Mail Server: mailhub.une.edu.au (click on Server Settings to add/modify this setting.Getting email when Off CampusWhen you are using your own computer you can still retrieve your email from UNE using Outlook or Eudora as you do when you are on campus but you must use your service provider's settings to send outgoing email. If you are using an Internet cafe or other 'public' computer you can check your email using Squirrelmail (sometimes called Webmail). SquirrelMailSquirrelmail is a web-based email service that allows you to check your email from any computer connected to the internet. Go to http://mail.une.edu.au and log on with your current UNE username and password. Squirrelmail has an intuitive user interface.
