Software Licences
Microsoft CAUDITThe CAUDIT agreement is a three year agreement negotiated by CAUDIT on behalf of Universities in Australia and New Zealand with Microsoft which allows for the use of a core set of Microsoft applications at UNE. The software can be installed on UNE owned machines (Staff & Lab PC's - please provide the serial number of the computer) and is also available for home use for "work-related purposes only". The products included in the CAUDIT agreement are:
 CAUDIT Home UseStaff members can purchase a home use license of the CAUDIT software for their home computer if it is used mainly for "work related purposes" from the IT Service Desk. Though the cost of the license is covered by CAUDIT, there is a small charge for the CD, see below for costs. STAFF can also purchase (and download) Office 2010 Professional, Office 2011 for Mac and Windows 7 Professional Upgrade at a special discount rate (currently $15) from http://hup.microsoft.com) NOTE: This offer requires a Programme Key - please contact the IT Service Desk for details) Students enrolled at UNE can purchase discounted versions of Windows and Office from Microsoft's "It's Not Cheating" website.
Microsoft SELECT AgreementMicrosoft products that are not covered through the CAUDIT agreement, can be purchased by UNE staff members for installation on UNE owned computers through a Select Agreement, that we maintain with Microsoft. To purchase a license, please provide an ITJ or costcode for the cost of the license and the serial number of the computer the license will be installed on. Note: These licenses are NOT available for private computers. Other Software (Adobe etc)We have negotiated discounts with other software manufacturers for UNE staff members. The prices below are for "license only" purchases; you will be able to borrow the CD/DVD from us to install you copy of the software on UNE owned computers, but you will not receive a copy of the CD/DVD nor a manual. EndnoteThe UNE site licence of Endnote is available to UNE staff members and research postgraduates for installation on private as well as UNE-owned computers. It can be downloaded from http://software.une.edu.au/endnote or visit the IT Service Desk for an installation CD. External students should email the IT Service Desk and include what operating system your computer uses and the postal address. For more information on Endnote and training courses please refer to the Library.
CamtasiaUNE has a limited number of licenses for Camtasia Studio and Camtasia:Mac screencapture / audio editing software for installation on UNE owned computers. The license is free of charge. Please install the 30-day trial version from http://software.une.edu.au/une-only/Camtasia/. This will give you an opportunity to test a full version of the software. If you would like to continue using the software after the 30-day trial, please fill in the software installation form (link below) to request a license. Miscellaneous Site LicencesWe hold a site license for SPSS statistics software - the software is available to members of staff at no cost to them or their department for installation on UNE owned computers (please provide the serial number of the computer the software is going to be installed on). Note: These licenses can also be installed on staff home computers under the "work at home" rights licenses. NVivo is no longer licenced. SAS is no longer licenced.

Non standard software (Purchase Approval)
Non-standard software purchases need to be approved by ITD prior to purchasing. If you require software that is not part of the list above, please email servicedesk@une.edu.au prior to raising a purchase order / using your UNE credit card. We will evaluate the request and either approve or advise of preferable alternatives where appropriate. Purchasing (Finance) will not process software purchase orders or aquit credit card transactions without attached approval from ITD.
