Please indicate your preference for a morning or afternoon installation timeslot (or both).

Our standard turnaround time for software installation is 48 hours, with most installations completed within 24 hours.

Use the Dell "Service Tag" (on a sticker on the case)  or your Mac's serial number (Apple menu -> About this Mac - More Info)

Teamviewer is an programme that allow our technicians to remotely connect to your computer and install software licenses, upgrades etc. Teamviewer significantly cuts down the installation time for software - if it is not already installed on your computer, please download it from the IT website.

Software

For further information and assistance with Dragon speech-to-text software, please see http://www.nuance.com/dragon/ (for Macs) and http://www.nuance.com/support/dragon-naturallyspeaking/ (for Windows). Please note that ITCS will install this software, but does not support it. Mininum Mac requirement: 10.6.8

Some software is available for download to your computer from our website:

  • Sophos Antivirus software (home computers - staff and students and UNE owned computers)
  • Endnote (staff and postgraduate students)
  • Camtasia Studio (full professional version of audio editing software for your desktop). Please download the 30-day trial prior to requesting a license. If you would like to continue using Camtasia Studio / Mac after the trial, please request a license through this form. For simple desktop recording of audio and slides straight into your unit, please use Camtasia Relay.
  • Service Packs and other utilities on our internal software downloads page
  • To request approval to purchase software not listed above, please email servicedesk@une.edu.au with details of your requirements prior to purchase.
