Spare

Spare key is programmable by the user via handset menu options

 

Fixed Key

This key cannot be overridden


 

Function

Definition

Line 1 / Hold Line 2 / Hold

Incoming and Outgoing Line Keys. This doesn’t mean that you have two extension numbers, it is a call waiting feature. To place a call on hold whilst in conversation, press the active line key, to release call from hold press the line button again.

MAIL

Mail button will flash when you have a Voicemail Message, Call Back Message or Text Message, press MAIL to find out what message type is on the handset.

ISDN

Lists up to the last 16 numbers that have called your phone provided that the caller ID is being sent from the calling number.

REDIAL

Redials the last number dialled whether Internal or External.

STORE REDIAL

Used to temporarily store a number you may wish to call later.

The digital handset has the option of storing up to 45 numbers on the soft keys and up to 20** numbers on the programmed keys.

Your systems administrator can program additional function keys on your handset via the PABX’s main computer interface. Below are some examples of what you can have programmed on your handset.

-- Set Supervision

- Forward on ring

If another extension appears on your digital handset, this means that extension is busy

Commonly Used Functions

Call Answer

Pick Up handset or press the Loudspeaker button to answer call.

Call Transfer

You do not need to put a call on hold to transfer. When you are ready to transfer the call, dial the number then press the “TRANSF” soft key on your phone and hang up.

Call Hold

To place a call on hold, press the line button that the call is active on. Example Line 1 / Hold key. To take caller off hold press this button again.

Call Return (Enq Off)

When a call has been placed on hold or a number has been dialled and you wish to UNDO this operation, look at your Screen and press the ENQ OFF button. Your first call will now be active.

Broker (Back and Forth)

Press Broker to go back and forth (toggle) between two callers.

CONF (3 > Way Party Conference)

Up to 2 callers can be included in your conversation, known as “Conference”. To activate dial your first caller, then dial your second caller, when ready to connect all three callers press the CONF Soft Key.

DTMF (Menu Options)

When calling Automated Services i.e. Telephone Banking, Airlines, Hotel Reservations you will need to press this soft key once the call is answered. You are then able to make your menu choices i.e. 1,2,3 etc.

The Main Menu (Used via the Soft Key Option)

- Changing Melody

1. Press - for Information/Menu

2. Select -- then select -

3. Use - and -- to scroll through the different melodies

4. Use - and -options to select volume of melody tone

5. Hang up.

- Changing Screen Contrast

1. Press - for Information/Menu

2. Select - then select --

3. Use - and -options to select brightness of screen display

4. Hang up.

Storing Numbers on the Programmable Keys

1. Press - for Information/Menu

2. Select -

3. Select -

4. Select the - key on which you wish to store the number

5. Dial the number you wish to store (dial 0 for an outside line if necessary)

6. Press - then hang up

7. To dial, press the - key

Storing Numbers on the Programmable Keys

1. Press - for Information/Menu

2. Select -

3. Select -

4. Using the Navigator button, scroll through the display and select the spare Soft Key on which you wish to store a number

5. Dial the number you wish to store (dial 0 for an outside line if necessary)

6. Press -

7. Enter a name (up to six characters) using your Call by Name keypad

8. Press - then hang up

9. To dial the number, use the Navigator button to scroll around the display screen to find your programmed number.
