Alcatel PABX functions
Quick
Reference Guide for analogue handsets
Note
1) Depending on the model of the analogue phone you are using, the
“RECALL” button may be labelled as “FLASH”.
Note 2) The Alcatel system provides automatic
voice prompts at every opportunity. So, for example, if you wanted to “Forward all calls” but
were unsure of the process, you would enter the *01 feature access code, pause,
and follow the audio prompts thereafter. Once you become accustomed to the Alcatel feature access codes you can
pre-empt the voice prompts and just enter *017890 without a pause to forward
all calls to extension 7890.

Camp-on
with callback
If a dialled extension is busy you can “camp
on”. When you dial an
extension that is busy, you will not hear the busy tone, a voice prompt will
inform you that “you may request automatic callback by dialling 5”.
After dialling 5 the voice prompt will inform you that “your request has
been recorded” and that “you may now hang up”. When your extension and the extension
that you were waiting for are both free, your telephone will ring. When you lift the handpiece of your
telephone you will hear ring tone to the extension that you were waiting for.
