UNE's phone system is maintened by ITD.

Upgrading of existing external cabling is carried out at ITDs expense, but internal cabling is carried out on a fee for service basis. Addionally a cost of $44 per analogue handset and $380 per digital handset. Changes to an extension's restriction mode are also carried out at no charge to the client, but require authorisation by the department head through our phone/network request form.

Other work can also be organised by filling in the phone/network request form and requires a cost code. A period of 7 days notice prior to the commencement of work would be appreciated. All new extensions unless otherwise authorised are given a restriction mode of internal calls only.
