EMail on your mobile
To set up your mobile phone to send and receive your UNE emails, the following settings are required.
Username: yourUNEusername (eg jbloggs)
Password: yourUNEpassword (eg Qs!2frT1)
Email Address: yourUNEusername@une.edu.au
Pop or Incoming Mailserver: mail.une.edu.au
SMTP or Outgoing Mailserver: mail.bigpond.com (note: this setting is for mobiles on UNE Telstra accounts. If you have a different mobile provider, you will need to contact them for the correct SMTP settings)
Where the settings are entered varies from phone to phone. Please refer to the User Manual of your specific model for information on how to access and enter email settings.
Due to the configuration of our mailserver, the "Remove mail from server" option is not available for UNE emails on your mobile.
Note: A data plan is required if you want to receive emails on your mobile. Please contact the Service Desk if you need to upgrade from a standard "voice only" plan to a data plan.
