Access Grid Room
The Access Grid Room is the newest addition to UNE's Video Conferencing Suite, managed by the Information Technology Directorate. Its crossfunctional design accommodates Access Grid and High Definition Video Conferencing as well as Teleconferencing and other multimedia collaboration tools.
Access Grid is a video collaboration tool, that provides mechanisms to:
- Share Data;
- Collaborate using a variety of shared applications;
- Utilise large-format displays;
- Employ multiple video sources to allow room to room conferencing capabilities; and
- Simultaneously connect to many sites and easily interact with them.
The purpose of the Access Grid Room at UNE is to assist staff with educational, promotional and administrative processes. Access Grid is an advanced type of video conferencing facility that allows participants from multiple locations on the Internet to interact in real time.
The room accommodates up to 15 people and is suitable for teaching, interviewing and meetings.
