Events

Last year we had one general meeting, which was held on 1st August 2004 . The main purpose is to formally establish IRSA and discuss about International Week -- was held on 9-15 August 2004 . We were participated at 3 events during the International Week.

  1. The Exhibition – it went well with helps from some Iranian university students who shared their time to be in Bistro to meet people and give information of our country to audiences. Also, IRSA would be so appreciated to Mr Amin Amini about his great support and useful guidelines,

  2. The Food Fair -- We prepared some Iranian foods such as Fesenjan, Karafs, Gheimeh, Havij polo, Doogh, Nane mahalli, Iranian sweets. All food were finished very quickly. Thank you everybody who helped preparing food.

  3. The Film night-- In this section an Iranian movie was selected and exhibited as one of three selected movies.

We received good feedback from the Exhibition, Food Fair and Film night. Thanks Iranian students at UNE for your participation.

 

We had a friendly football match between Iranian students at UNE and the other sudents from different parts of the world on 21 November. That game was organised by ISA and the result was 2-2.

 

 

 

  1. This year because of Tsunami disaster in East Asia the International Students Association will held a charity food fair at 17th of February.The Iranian Students Association( IRSA) will attend there by preparing some Iranian foods.
  2. There is an international meeting which will be held by Armidale international association (AIA) on 12 of March 2005, the AIA asked from IRSA to prepare some Iranian foods. This would be a great oppotunity to discuss with Armidale residents about our culture and customs.
  3. Autumn festival which will be organised by Armidale council and IRSA will attend to participate there as part of International Students Association (ISA). It will be held on 19th of March 2005.

IRSA Website -- We have been developed our website located at http://www.une.edu.au/irsa . You can visit the website for any up-coming events, news, meeting minutes, useful information, and so on. Comments and questions regarding the website may be forwarded to Reza, our president.

 

IRSA Meetings -- We aim to hold our meetings at least 2 weeks prior to any important events we may have. From time to time, we have also informal meetings to brainstorm and clarify some relevant issues for our events.
