Recruiting toolkit for UNE managers

 

Welcome to UNE's HR recruitment toolkit for managers.  The toolkit will provide you with links and reference material to support you as you navigate the recruitment process, beginning with your first meeting with one of our HR Business Relationship Managers.  These staff will explore your needs and provide advice and options to then partner with the Recruitment Team - to seek out the best possible candidates for your purpose.

Speak to your HR Business Relationship Manager, who will work with you to identify your recruitment needs, equity or diversity issues and will then begin the process. They will step you through a series of recruitment choices to consider the type of employment that will best suit your situation, whether it be a permanent or casual role, an expression of interest advertised locally, a secondment - or other recruitment options such as trainees or workready/volunteers.

  • Your HR Recruitment Consultant will work with you to create a recruitment package to best meet your needs.

    Applications

    Your recruitment consultant will assist in managing the recruitment process, filtering applications to provide you with a list of candidates who most closely match the requirements of the advertised role.

    Shortlisting

    Your consultant will provide you with a template for shortlisting

    Interviewing

    Your consultant will provide interview support, including helping you frame questions in accordance with equity and diversity principles, to select the best applicant for the role.

    Reference checks

    Are undertaken by your recruitment consultant, on behalf of the panel.

    Reporting

    Selection Committee reports will be prepared by your HR recruitment consultant, for your approval and sign off.
