Generic position statements

Access to suites of position statements for general job families:   these are generic position statements, only to be used for fixed-term non-advertised appointments.

Position statements for positions to be advertised

When submitting a position for advertisement, you're welcome to use the generic position statements below as a guide.  They show the increase in responsibility and task complexity as roles progress through the HEO classification levels. You might also find it useful to access the links associated with the Template Builder on this page.  The Template Builder provides sample wording and examples of tasks to assist in the preparation of position statements for HEO 1-10 roles. 

You are encouraged to contact the Recruitment Unit to discuss any aspect of position statement preparation, and to talk through the job-specific qualities of the position to be advertised.

Please note: When position statements are submitted for advertisement, they must be accompanied by a Request to Advertise form.
