New EBs Certified
Both the General Staff and Academic Staff Enterprise Agreements were certified on Thursday, 5 May 2005 by the Australian Industrial Relations Commission.
This means that, as of that date, all staff and managers need to refer to the new Enterprise Agreements in relation to the terms and conditions of employment for staff.
Arrangements have been made for the new Agreements to be printed and made available in hard copy where desired. In the meantime, the new Agreements can be found on the HR website.
As you are aware, the new Agreements provide for the salary increases to be compounded, and the last pay rise (2% in September last year) was not, so there is a small amount of backpay to be paid to all staff. Arrangements are being made for these arrears to be paid to staff in the next available pay period (which will be the pay of 26 May - unfortunately, this week's pay has already closed).
