Message from the Vice-Chancellor regarding Academic Reorganisation

Dear Colleagues

I am pleased to present the University of New England Academic Reorganisation Final Workplace Change document.

The document is published at http://www.une.edu.au/hrs/wpc.htm. Staff members who are unable to access the document should collect a copy from Human Resource Services, TC Lamble Building level 3. Would supervisors please ensure that all staff are provided with access to the document.

In accordance with section 6 of the Workplace Change document, the Academic Reorganisation will be implemented on 19 July 2007.

Many staff of the University have provided valuable feedback to the first and second drafts of the document via staff forums, emails and discussions, all of which has been considered, with a number of changes being made to the drafts based on such staff input. I am most grateful for all staff contributions.

The Transitional Heads of School will be announced as soon as possible.

I believe that the University can now move forward upon implementation of the Academic Reorganisation. The University is becoming better-placed to achieve the vision of the University of New England Strategic Plan 2007-2010: to be a strong research-based, teaching and learning university delivering outcomes in areas of strength to individuals and society.
