Enquiries
Heritage Centre staff respond to in-person, written, telephone and e-mail enquiries by providing a list of possible sources. In the case of in-person enquiries, staff make individual records available on application. For external enquiries, records may be located, copied and sent to the researcher upon written application. External enquiries also attract the following charges:
- A $5 administration fee (GST inclusive)
- Cost of postage (see below)
- Photocopying/reproduction charges (see below)
Researchers wishing to visit the Heritage Centre in person are requested to make an appointment before arrival.
Research
Unfortunately, staff can no longer undertake paid research enquiries. We are still able to offer advice on sources, give detailed listings of archival holdings and photocopy material from our collection.
For those who want to use the services of a professional researcher, staff can arrange for research to be undertaken on behalf of its clients by external researchers.
Photocopying
Heritage Centre staff provide a photocopying service on application. However, records must be deemed by the University to be in good condition and volumes may not be photocopied, but may be photographically reproduced.
Schedule of charges (GST inclusive)
A4 is $0.35 per page
A3 is $0.50 per page
F4 is $0.40 per page
Photocopying onto photographic paper is also possible.

Researchers using the microfilm/fiche reader printer may make copies subject to approval by the University Archivist.

Photographic Reproduction
Heritage Centre staff can arrange for photographic reproductions to be made of most of the material in our holdings. Charges are available on application.
Outreach Services
University or community groups may arrange workshops run by Heritage Centre staff either at the Heritage Centre or at their own venues. Please contact the University Archivist or University Curator for further information.
