VINCENT PAPERS Business records of the Armidale Chronicle and the Uralla and Walcha Times. For the Armidale Chronicle there are advertising and subscription ledgers and journals covering the period 1872-77. For the Uralla and Walcha Times there are a fairly full run of ledgers from 1878-l927 and an advertising journal, 1876-77. 8 vols. 1872-1927 A119b
VINCENT PAPERS Accounting records of the Uralla Times, local newspaper of the township of Uralla. Uralla lies on the New England Highway, about 20 kilometres south of Armidale. The accession also contains minute books of the Uralla branches of the Graziers' Association of N.S.W. and the P & A Association. See also A462. 4 vol. 1917-1947. A119a
VYCHAN STATION RECORDS The diaries (33 vols.) Of T.H. Bray, owner of "Vychan", record station work and social activity on a daily basis, 1913-27, 1943-63. Other records exist in various forms: Ledgers give details of stores and wages, 1900-17; Cash and Balance Books, together with a Journal, and notebooks with press clippings inside, cover 1900-10; a Stock Book contains information about sheep and cattle, 1905-08. VYNER PAPERS Two letters: the first is from Margaret Anna Vyner to the poet Tennyson, dated (Tumut) River, N.S.W., 1855 (ts copy), explaining how his poetry comforts her in the isolation of the Australian bush. The second is from H.W. Vyner to his family in England, dated "Marengo", 23rd August, 1887 (photostat copy of original ms), describing daily work patterns on this pastoral station about 75 miles from Armidale (includes a few small sketches). Also included is a pen-and-ink drawing of the Vyner family's homestead "Muncilidcenula", Tumut, N.S.W., dated 11th March, 1845. It is initialled "K.M.J." in the bottom right-hand corner. 2 letters, 1 framed drawing (20cm x 13cm). 1845-87
