RANGER'S VALLEY, DUNDEE: RECORDS A pastoral station in the Glen Innes district, "Ranger's Valley" was originally held by the Bloxsome family. The records in this group are mainly account books: including ledgers, cash and wages books, and ration issue books (1851-94). There is a stud boo k (1873-86) and specifications for a stable (to be erected in 1889). RICHMOND RIVER HISTORICAL SOCIETY: RECORDS This accession consists of two parts: (i) microfilm copies of original records held by the Richmond River Historical Society, and (ii) copies of photographs of scenes in and around Lismore, mostly dating from the period c.1870 - c.1910. RIMBANDA STATION RECORDS Accounts for "Rimbanda Station" (Kentucky) are recorded in a Ledger 1871-74, Stores Account Book 1871-75, and Stock and Shearing Book 1871-86. Records of conditional purchases for "Rimbanda", for "Muluerindi" (Walcha), and for "Jeogla" (Armidale), are als o part of this accession. (All are on microfilm. Location of originals unknown.) ROBERTSONS OF "STRACHAN": RECORDS The three items in this small, but interesting, accession are: (i) Diary, ledger and notebook (1 vol.) Of Arthur Wellesly Robertson. The diary runs from 12 Feb to 30 July 1837 and describes a voyage from Scotland to Van Diemen's Land aboard the barque Per thshire. The ledger (in a different hand - probably R.R.C. Robertson's) dates from l844 to l846 and records issues of stores and rations (probably at "Wellington Vale"). The scanty notes on other pages relate mainly to wool weights. (ii) Station diary (18 42) and notebook (1842-6) of Robert Reid Cuninghame Robertson; and (iii) Framed portrait of R.R.C. Robertson (undated, but probably 1870's). Arthur Wellesly Robertson took up "Wellington Vale" in 1838 and named it after his godfather, the Duke of Wellingt on. R.R.C. Robertson was A.W.R's brother. 2 vols, 1 portrait. 1837 A178

ROYLE, EMILY ELIZA, DIARY A typescript copy of the diary of Emily Eliza Royle, which was begun on the occasion of the family's departure from England to Australia on the 17th of November, 1880. The diary not only describes the 53 day trip to Melbourne aboard the S S Kent but conti nues for another six months as the family settles into life in Australia.
