JOHNSTONE, REVEREND THOMAS, DIARIES A collection of diaries by the Rev. Thomas Johnstone covering the period, 1860-1906 (with gaps). This is an early accession from the Johnstone family subsequently augmented in 1982 by a further deposit of records, accessioned as a181a. JOHNSTONE, REVEREND THOMAS, FAREWELL ADDRESS Newspaper cutting giving the text of the farewell address presented to Dr Johnstone by the Presbyterian congregation at Bendemeer on the occasion of his retirement. Added to this is a photocopy of the Armidale Express, 15th April, 1957, reporting the address delivered by Rev. Neil Macleod to mark the centenary of Dr Johnstone's arrival in Armidale. 1903. A181b

Thomas Johnstone cover the period 1858-1909. In addition to the main series of diaries already described, this accession includes 19 vols. Of rough diaries covering all but 5 years of the period. JONES, JACK AND WALTER: LETTERS The letters of Jack and Walter Jones, serving overseas during the Great War, to their sister Bridget and her husband Ted Sargeant, 1918-19. Jack served with the 6th Light Horse in Egypt and Palestine; Walter in the cruiser H.M.A.S. Melbourne with the Grand Fleet, based at Scapa Flow. The accession also includes photographs of Jack and Walter in uniform, and a letter to Bridget from K.
