UNE Art collection

The University of New England Art Collection was established to demonstrate the University’s commitment to the study, patronage and advancement of the arts. Since the first donation was received in 1938, the Collection has expanded to over 1000 works including paintings, drawings, watercolours and prints in all manner of genre and style. The Collection also contains a significant number of artworks by regional artists and by artists who have worked in the New England or taught at the University.

Donating to the UNE Art Collection

Giving to the Collection is a uniquely ‘family affair’ and among the many donors are students, alumni, lecturers and tutors, researchers and scholars, members of Council and distinguished friends of the University. The Collection can be seen across the two University campuses in the lecture theatres, hallways and administrative offices and in the Colleges.
