GSB 692 International Finance

The unit reviews key issues relating to the financing of international operations. Topics examined include:

1. an analysis of the functioning of the international foreign exchange market;
2. currency hedging and options;
3. sources of finance and foreign exchange risk;
4. managing exchange rate fluctuations;
5. cash flow analysis and capital budgeting in the international environment;
6. calculations of cost capital;
7. currency and bank markets; and
8. listing requirements on international securities markets.
