GSB 672 Educational Administration and Organisation

This unit sets out to address certain basic issues with which any person concerned with the administration of educational institutions is inevitably faced. The issues selected for special attention include: 

1. the nature of educational institutions as organisations and the implications for their administration
2. the development of educational institutions, as organisations, to meet changing needs
3. the implications of organisational and administrative theory for the administration of educational institutions and systems
4. leadership for improving the effectiveness of educational organisations; and 
5. factors which may, in the future, influence our educational institutions and their administration.
