Master of Organisational Development and Strategic Human Resource Management
The Master of Organisational Development and Strategic Human Resource Management is specifically designed to meet the needs of professionals who are either currently practising or wish to practise in the field of organisational development and / or human resource management.

A strategic intervention specialist. Make decisions and implement solutions involving human resources and organisational structures through cutting edge analysis and diagnosis.
An effective change agent capable of building and maintaining partnerships with key stakeholders to succesfully manage change.
A critical thinker around ethical issues involved in organisational development and change.
This program will develop a set of core competencies which will bring together human resource and organisational development themes and develop your understanding of strategic management issues. In addition students can undertake electives in specialist subjects. They must also apply their core and specialist competencies through the completion of a research project.

The MODSHRM offers the advantage of providing a broad base of management units combined with a focus on the areas of strategic management, organizational development and human resource management. This makes it a powerful degree for those seeking to become better managers at the broader organisational level. The award features a core of seven units which establish the foundational knowledge. These are :-

In addition to these units students then select their academic focus and research emphasis.

The research topic enables students to apply their learning to their workplace with a project that is reflective of their area of specialization.

This course is available on a fee-paying basis only.Applicants for admission to candidature for the degree of Master of Organisational Development and Strategic Human Resource Management shall
- have fulfilled all the requirements for admission to a degree or qualification of equivalent standing at this or another university or tertiary institution; or
- have completed The Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management at UNE with a minimum Credit grade average, normally in the first four units completed towards the Graduate Certificate.
- In addition, applicants for admission to candidature must provide evidence of at least three years’ work experience in a field of employment approved by the Faculty on the recommendation of the Director.
- An applicant for candidature shall apply to the Director on the prescribed form.
- Admission to candidature and the date of commencement of candidature shall be determined by the Faculty.
