Master of Educational Administration
The course is designed primarily for educational leaders and aspiring managers. As people progress through their careers and increasingly take on leadership and management roles they often find that they need to develop theoretical and practical knowledge of leadership together with the management skills to lead and manage effectively, providing both general management and education sector specific skills.
This 48 credit point (8 units) program is offered by distance education either by full-time or part-time studies on a Full-Fee or CSP basis.
Full-time candidates will satisfy the requirements of the degree in not more than 3, 15 week trimesters or 1 year. Part-time candidates will complete the requirements in not more than 8, 15 week trimesters.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for admission in the Master of Administrative Leadership, A candidate must have had three years' experience in an educational institution or in education services delivery; and must have completed a three year degree or its equivalent in a relevant discipline.
Course Structure
Except with the permission of the faculty on the recommendation of the relevant head of school or nominee, the course of study shall include units to a value of 48 credit points (8 units) in the relevant major discipline defined as follows:

Advanced Standing
Advanced standing may be granted for postgraduate units completed at this University that have not been counted towards another qualification.
The maximum advanced standing granted for units that have been successfully completed towards a postgraduate qualification at this or another university or institution is 24 credit points.
Each application is decided individually, and applicants must provide documentation to support their application for advanced standing in each unit.
