Master of Commerce
The Master of Commerce is a fee-paying, coursework only program consisting of 48 credit points (8 units) which provides an excellent means of obtaining advanced-level qualifications in business studies. This award is available to students studying off campus. The Master of Commerce provides a broadening course for those students wishing to extend their knowledge of business generally, or provides for specific career enhancement for those students seeking a greater concentration in a particular discipline. Students can enrol in areas such as accounting, finance, human resource management, management, and marketing.
Full-time candidates will satisfy the requirements of the degree in not more than 3, 15 week trimesters or 1 year. Part-time candidates will complete the requirements in not more than 8, 15 week trimesters.
Entry Requirements
To be eligible for admission in the Master of Commerce, a candidate must have completed a three year degree or its equivalent in a relevant discipline.
Course Structure
Except with the permission of the faculty on the recommendation of the relevant head of school or nominee, the course of study shall include units to a value of 48 credit points in the relevant major discipline defined as follows:

Advanced Standing
The maximum advanced standing granted for units that have been successfully completed towards a postgraduate qualification at this or another university or institution is 24 credit points (4 units). Each application is decided individually, and applicants must provide documentation to support their application for advanced standing in each unit.
