International Students - Admission to Courses


If you are an International Student seeking admission to a Course offered by the Graduate School of Business at the University of New England, please following the admission instructions below.

Steps to Managing your Admission:

The first step in applying to study at UNE is to choose a course that interests you and note the entry requirements for that course.  This information can be found in the Courses and Units Catalogue or on the GSB web site.

Secondly, complete the admission form. Ensure you submit all supporting documentation as outlined in the information provided in the instructions below with your application.

Advanced Standing or Credit from prior postgraduate studies:

To apply for advanced standing or credit from previous postgraduate studies, complete the advanced standing form, supply the unit outlines for the units you believe may be relevant and send with your application.  Applications for advanced standing will not be considered until all required documentation is supplied.

You will receive an email confirming receipt of your application outlining further steps you may need to undertake.

If you are applying to one of the following courses:

Master of Business Administration
Master of Strategic Organisational Development
Graduate Diploma in Management
Graduate Certificate in Management
Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management

You will need to download and complete the application form, for International students living or planning to live in Australia while studying: apply online

In addition to the application form the following documentation is required:

2 referee reports using this form
A copy of your CV or Resume showing at least 3 years work experience
Certified copy of your Identification (eg: passport)
Certified copies of academic records
A personal Statement covering areas such as:

  • Your most significant experiences or achievements to date;
  • Your long-term objectives and your expectations of this degree in fulfilling these objectives;
  • Where you see yourself five years from now;
  • Any other information you consider relevant to your admission.

 

Evidence of English Language Proficiency if previous studies were not in English

If you are an International student applying for admission to one of the following courses:

Master of Professional Accounting
Master of Professional Accounting and Business
Graduate Diploma in Accounting
Graduate Certificate in Accounting
Master of Commerce
Master of Business Research

You will need to download and complete the application form, for International students living or planning to live in Australia while studying: apply online

In addition to the application form the following documentation is required:

Certified copy of your Identification (eg: passport)
Certified copies of academic records
A personal Statement covering areas such as:

  • Your most significant experiences or achievements to date;
  • Your long-term objectives and your expectations of this degree in fulfilling these objectives;
  • Where you see yourself five years from now;
  • Any other information you consider relevant to your admission.

 

Evidence of English Language Proficiency if previous studies were not in English

If you are an International student applying for admission to one of the Institute of Public Accountants courses

Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting
Master of Commerce in Professional Accounting

You will need to download and complete the IPA Application Form

In addition to the application form the following documentation is required:

Evidence of IPA membership
A copy of your CV or Resume showing at least 2 years work experience
Certified copy of your Identification (eg: passport or  birth certificate or drivers licence)
Certified copies of academic records
Evidence of English Language Proficiency if previous studies were not in English.

If you are an International student needing to do only one or two units please complete the Professional Development Program application form. 
You will also need to supply a certified copy of your Identification (eg: passport) if you are not a previous student of UNE.
Evidence of English Language Proficiency if previous studies were not in English.
