Ms Jan McClelland, GAICD
Ms Jan McClelland brings to the Council sound expertise in Executive level direction of large and complex organisations.
Her graduate qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Legal Studies from Macquarie University.
Ms McClelland began a distinguished career in the Australian public service in 1973 as part of the Administrative team at the Australian National University. This was followed by a role as Special Assistant to the Minister for Administrative Services and Leader of the House of Representatives.
Throughout her extensive career in Public Service that has spanned State and Local governments, as well high level experience in the private sector, she has steered and implemented numerous strategic planning intiatives in infrastructure and workforce planning, policy development and management of organisational structure.
Ms McClelland has indepth knowledge of government relations and procedure and has applied high level communications advice to the community relations, employee relations and human resources sectors.
