Ms Alicia Zikan
Alicia Zikan, Dip Sup. Mgt (Macq)
Ms Zikan is the Council's Undergraduate Representative and a member of the Finance Committee. She was elected to the Council in September 2008.
She also serves the student body as President, UNE Chapter, Golden Key International Honour Society.
Ms Zikan first became a student at UNE in 2001, studying a BA, majoring in Political & International Studies, & English. She plans to extend this degree to take in Honours.
She is also currently studying a Diploma of Modern Languages in Japanese. Ms Zikan has experienced both external and internal modes of study at UNE. She moved permanently to Armidale after her first residential school, when her family fell in love with Armidale and UNE. She now combines studying part time with being a stay at home mother to 4 children.
Prior to the move to Armidale, Ms Zikan lived in Sydney, working in the superannuation and investment industry for about 20 years, as a Senior Business Analyst & Consultant.
In May 2009, Ms Zikan was elected as the University Council's Director to the Board of Services UNE.
