Academic Board Elections

Election of Chair of Academic Board

Nominations are called for the role of Chair of Academic Board for a term of 2 years, commencing at the first meeting in 2013 (4 February) and ending at the commencement at the first meeting in 2015.

Nominations will be accepted from current elected members of the Board who are professors or associate professors. A nomination form must be signed by the nominee and by a proposer and seconder, both of whom must be current voting members of the Board. Nominations will be accepted until 9.00am Monday 3 December 2012.

If more than one nomination is received, an election will be held at the meeting on 10 December 2012. Members who are unable to attend the meeting and who lodge a formal apology with the Secretary in advance of the meeting will be given a ballot paper to register an absentee vote.

Election of a Deputy Chair

Nominations will be called for the role of Deputy Chair  for a term of two years (commencing at the first meeting in 2013 and ending at the first meeting in 2015) in the business paper for the meeting on 10 December 2012. Nominations will be accepted from current elected members of the Board who are professors or associate professors. Depending on the outcome of the election of a Chair, there may be a gender requirement, as both genders must be represented among the Academic Board Executive.

A nomination form must be signed by the nominee and by a proposer and seconder, both of whom must be current voting members of the Board. Nominations will be accepted until the commencement of the first meeting in 2013 (4 February) and at the meeting, provided both the nominator, seconder and nominee are all in attendance.

Election of School Representatives

Nominations will be called for School representatives in the Schools of Arts, Business, Environmental and Rural Science, Health and Law by email after the meeting on 5 November. New members will commence from the first meeting in 2013 (4 February). If more than two nominations are received for a School, an election will be conducted electronically.
