Swara Naga Concerts

Since 1990, Swara Naga has concentrated on Sundanese gamelan degung music from West Java. The Gamelan Degung is an ensemble consisting of a bamboo flute, a set of drums, and a number of bronze percussion instruments (in richly carved teak wood frames/stands).

The group’s concert program comprises traditional and modern Sundanese instrumental pieces and songs accompanied by the gamelan, as well as West Javanese folk music played on bamboo instruments, and features various new compositions/arrangements for gamelan and Western instruments, some composed by members of the group.
