Recording Graduate Attributes

Lecturers record information about graduate attributes in course and unit learning outcomes. An official statement is provided in New and Amended Unit and Course Application Forms. This is subsequently recorded in the Course and Unit Repository database (CAUR) to populate the UNE Courses and Units Catalogue for new and continuing students.

Lecturers are asked to provide information on how they explicitly teach, provide practice and assess students formatively and summatively for attributes relevant at a unit level. Information on the three elements is required to emphasize and ensure alignment between learning objectives and assessment and the level of attainment required in each unit. An incremental development pathway for students is provided across a course or major for each attribute.

Professionally accredited awards map professional requirements to UNE's graduate attributes.

UNE collates this information to produce reports for different levels of need (e.g. annual course monitoring, course reviews) for Quality Management and other reporting requirements of the University.
