Welcome to uneOpen
Australia’s first open online subjects that give you credit towards a university degree.
In a university exclusive and an Australian first, the University of New England is providing a select range of free online subjects via uneOpen.
We are launching the learning environment in July 2013, with a range of subjects. Whether you want to learn something new about the world, or start on the journey of upgrading your qualifications, uneOpen is opening access to higher education.
There's no risk starting study with uneOpen - you set the pace of your learning experience. Think of it like sampling university education before you commit to an entire degree.
If you want to formalise your study, you can choose to undertake assessments for a nominal fee. Any subjects you complete through uneOpen will be recognised for credit into a wide range of degrees at the University of New England – something you can’t do at any other university in Australia.
uneOpen will also offer a range of paid services alongside the free subjects including online tuitions, enabling you to connect with academic and teaching staff when you need to.
UNE pioneered distance education in the 1950’s to adapt to a changing society. uneOpen is the next innovation in higher education, providing a new level of flexibility to busy adults balancing study, work or life commitments.
