Growth and its impact on staffing
UNE has experienced rapid growth in 2012, especially with large numbers of students commencing in T3. This will have a positive impact on staffing numbers, and the University has budgeted for an increase of 41 FTE staff in 2013.

The UNE Draft Strategic Plan
The Vice-Chancellor describes the consultation process for the draft Strategic Plan 2011-15, and key elements of the strategies. The Business Plan contains activities operationalising the strategies in the Strategic Plan and is refreshed on an annual basis. The draft Strategic Plan and Business Plan are located below. The Vice-Chancellor will be involved in a range of consultation activities with staff on the draft Strategic Plan. Comments and feedback from staff are invited until 20 May 2011, and can be emailed to dayres@une.edu.au

The Vice Chancellor of UNE, Professor Jim Barber, in his August 2012 update, provides feedback on suggestions made to the Project 2012 website. Professor Barber announces that the Project 2012 feedback form will be removed at the end of August, at which point suggestions will be forwarded to relevant area managers for consideration and action.
