Alternative Admissions Pathways

School/ College Recommendation Admission Scheme (SRAS); Year 12 students.
- Your application is assessed on the strength of recommendation and supporting information provided by your school/ college.
- You must still be eligible for a UAI, Limited UAI or Tertiary Entrance Score to apply through SRAS.
- If you are successful in your SRAS application, your UNE placement is secured if it has been nominated first on your preference list with UAC or QTAC.
- Applications close at the end of September. See your Careers Advisor about how to apply for SRAS.
The Internal Selection Programme (ISP) for Indigenous students.
- A programme run by UNE’s Oorala Centre, providing alternative entry opportunity to UNE.
- Oorala also assesses individual readiness for tertiary studies and runs a university transition course called TRACKS. Successful completion of TRACKS ensures eligiblity to apply to study at UNE.
Educational Access Scheme (EAS)
- Alternate entry opportunity for applicants who believe they have had long-term educational, social or physical disadvantage in their studies.
Special Consideration on basis of disadvantage not covered by EAS
- Students need to demonstrate strong performance in Year 12 subjects relevant to their chosen course/s.
Special Consideration for Elite Athletes or Performers
- Applies to the above students who believe their commitments have disadvantaged their studies.
Applications for Special Consideration, including your UAC/ QTAC number and details/ documentation about your circumstances, should be sent to: The Student Centre, The University of New England, NSW 2351, by late September.

- In addition, you will need to submit a UAC or QTAC application; and for on campus study you will need to sit a Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT).
