Student Fees 2007
Students in Commonwealth Supported Places
Students enrolled in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) will be charged a Student Contribution Charge (SCC) for each enrolled unit of study. The Student Contribution Charge will vary depending on the unit's Student Contribution Band. Your student contribution pays a proportion of the cost of your course and the remainder of your cost is funded by the Commonwealth Grant Scheme. Remission of HECS-HELP and FEE-HELP Debt and Refunds
The University of New England recognises that occasions may arise in which students find it necessary to withdraw from a unit after the census date. In such cases, the academic penalty may be waived and the fees reversed if the unit is dropped for special circumstances including:
- medical, family, or personal
- employment related
- university error
To be eligible to apply for re-credit of student learning entitlement and remission of fees, it must be demonstrated that the special circumstances:
- are beyond the student’s control and
- do not make their full impact on the student until on, or after, the census date and
- make it impracticable for the student to complete the requirements for the course during the period during which the student undertook the course.
Students must apply in writing within 12 months of the end of the period of study in which the course was or was to be undertaken. You are required to complete an application form, including original or certified supporting documentation and submit to:
