Furthering your studies

Adding honours to your degree is the best way to delve deeper in to your area of interest and enhance your qualifications.

Honours is usually an additional 48 credit points (one year full time study) involving course work and a dissertation.

Honours is the best choice for those considering higher degree research studies. If you achieve a very high standard in your honours year and receive ‘first class honours’ you may qualify to go straight on to a PhD.

Honours is offered in many areas of study at UNE. Start by browsing the disciplines in which honours is available.

If your area of interest is not listed  as an available honours degree please contact us. Often you will be able to do honours in that area as part of a broader discipline course.
