Nursing
Why study nursing at UNE?
UNE has been in the forefront of nurse education longer than any other Australian university. Our flexible nursing courses allow you select the length of time you wish to study and the type of career you desire.
Because the 2 undergraduate courses are interlinked, you can begin your career as a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse in 2 years or a Registered Nurse in 3 years. After the first year you can study on or off campus, full or part-time. Our undergraduate nursing courses have no up-front course fees, and there are more than 20 scholarships available to assist you.
If you have already completed a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse course you will receive one year of credit towards your UNE Bachelor of Nursing.
What are my career opportunities?
UNE nursing graduates are in demand everywhere. Our excellent clinical program in a state-of-the-art simulation laboratory plus 27 weeks of practice in New South Wales health facilities prepares nurses who are highly attractive to employers.
You can work all over the world in exciting fields such as emergency, surgery, intensive care, community, paediatrics, rural health and many others. Be well paid in a respected career working alongside dedicated professionals. You will never look back.
