Agribusiness
This degree has a structured core of units covering the subject areas of accountancy, economics, resource economics, law, management, marketing, quantitative methods and science with the emphasis being on applying this knowledge to agriculture and related industries.
Agricultural and Resource Economics
The Bachelor of Agricultural and Resource Economics allows graduates to take up professional, managerial or executive positions in such areas as banking, international agencies, agribusiness, education, agriculture or the public sector. Skills gained allow graduates to perform an effective professional role in a changing economic and social environment to deal with the complex issues facing the agricultural and resource sectors. This degree includes an 8 week professional placement program designed to equip students with relevant workplace skills and assist them in gaining employment upon graduation.

The Bachelor of Agribusiness prepares graduates for employment in agricultural businesses. From the farm level through to multinational companies, our graduates are able to contribute their high level problem solving and communication skills to ensure agribusinesses remain competitive and sustainable in the changing international environment. The UNE Agribusiness degree gives you a solid grounding in both agricultural knowledge and applied business skills, as well as a practical work experience placement that ensures a multidimensional understanding of agribusiness to make you job ready. You can further specialise in one of the areas of Economics, Marketing, Applied Finance or Rural Science to ensure the degree takes you where you want to go within the agribusiness field.

Skills gained allow graduates to perform an effective professional role in a changing economic and social enviornment to deal with the complex issues facing the agricultural and resource sectors. The degree provides graduates with a solid core of knowledge but is also flexible. Students can customize their program to focus on aspects of agriculture, natural resources, business and law. The professional placement program equips students with relevant workplace skills and assists them in gaining employment upon graduation.

As a graduate of Economics, you could find yourself working in a senior position either in Australia or abroad, such as:
- a policy officer in Commonwealth and state public services
