UNE Scholarships
UNE Scholarships are here to take away financial pressures so that you can focus on your studies.
There are a number of scholarships open to students starting university, ranging in value from small to large scholarships, or one-off bursaries.
Most school leaver scholarship applications close at the end of September. There are on average more than 100 undergraduate scholarships available each year for students commencing study at UNE, at a combined value of more than $1.2 million. There are also a number of scholarships offered by other organisations for UNE students.

Sponsored Places at UNE
Successful Applicants may be eligible for sponsorship through UNE to the value of $10,000 to offset living expenses. Sponsorships are offered for the first year of study and are available on a competitive basis. Terms and conditions are available here.
University of Sydney Scholarships
Financial assistance is available to help with study related costs. The University of Sydney has one of the most generous scholarships and bursary schemes in Australia. Commonwealth Scholarships
From 1 January 2010, all university students receiving income support will be entitled to an annual Student Startup Scholarship of $2,254. It is paid by Centrelink in two instalments at the beginning of each semester, together with students’ income support payments. The Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship will also be replaced with a Relocation Scholarship of $4,000 in the first year and $1,000 in later years. More details are available from Centrelink.
