Why attend UNE Open Day?

Here's your opportunity to get a taste of university life! You'll get to participate in cultural activities, sporting events and academic sessions, all to help you gain insight into what it's like to study at the University of New England. We'll be running a huge range of on-campus activities over two days including expert help and advice about studying at university. You'll get the chance to attend a range of academic information sessions, as well as speak directly to academic staff and our Future Students Team. Check out the exciting events we have planned for Friday and Saturday!

FRIDAY 3 MAY 2013

It’s a huge day with heaps of cool activities, entertainment, giveaways and demonstrations. Check out the degrees that may be of interest to you, meet the lecturers, and get a feel for campus life. There'll be tours of the UNE learning, living and sporting facilities, and you can meet existing students to learn about their experiences at UNE. In other words, today is your chance to explore UNE and find out everything you need to know about studying at university.

Here's just some of the activities on offer for Friday:

  • Free breakfast in the college
  • Academic advice
  • College and Campus Tours
  • Free games and entertainment
  • Demonstrations
  • Course advice and information sessions
  • Free Morning Tea & Lunch

SATURDAY 4 MAY 2013

We have extended Open Day to Saturday as well!  This is a great opportunity for you to come and visit if you can't attend the events on Friday.  You can visit the campus with your parents or if you work during the week here's your opportunity to speak with academic staff and the Future Students Team in person.

This is a great day for gap-year or deferred students, mature-aged students, postgraduates and alternative entry students to learn about life and study at UNE. You can organise to speak with academic staff (pre-registration is required) and ask questions in a more personalised relaxed atmosphere. There'll be campus, college and sporting tours throughout the morning to give you the chance to explore the beautiful UNE campus.

Some of the Saturday activities include:

  • Distance Education seminars
  • A parents’ Q and A session
  • Postgraduate information sessions
  • Free morning tea and lunch
