Psychology

The right education will really set you apart

UNE offers you an education that’s truly world class. State-of-the-art teaching and research facilities, sporting amenities and modern residences mean that you have at your disposal everything that you need. Or, if you study via distance education we offer flexible learning methods that allow you to tailor your studies to suit your life. Plus we keep in close contact with you via a range of communication channels.

Psychology is the scientific study of human behaviour- our individual characteristics and abilities, how we act in social situations, how our brain works and how our experiences and biology interact to produce normal and abnormal behaviour.

At UNE, our units of study examine learning, emotion, perception, memory and consciousness. We also cover applied topics such as parenting principles, workplace psychology, health psychology and the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness.

Throughout all our programs, we emphasise the importance of research skills, data analysis, and the writing of scientific reports. The Bachelor of Psychological Science degree provides a thorough grounding in psychology and is immediately recognisable in the workplace.
