Australians Living Overseas
If you are an Australian living overseas you can still study at UNE.
If you are an Australian Citizen, Australian Resident or New Zealand Citizen you are able to access the same support as domestic students, taking advantage of Commonwealth Supported places just like a domestic student. Australian Citizens are also able to defer payment of their fees through the Government's HECS-HELP and FEE-HELP programs.
We are well set up to cater for the ex-patriot student with most resources available online and reciprocal arrangements with many universities around the world where you can do your exams or use the library. Using online tools you can access your notes, chat with your classmates and lecturers, submit your assignments and manage your enrolment.
There are many degrees that you can do entirely by distance - meaning you don't have to come to Armidale at all. Or if you are looking for a good reason to come home for a visit, short intensive schools or Summer Semester classes held during the holidays can be a great way to boost your study and network with others in the same course.
You may also be able to do part of your degree at a university in your current place of residence through an exchange program.
UNE has many students all over the world, and as an experienced leader in distance education, there is no better choice for your degree.
