Students in Commonwealth Supported Places
Students enrolled in a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) will be charged a Student Contribution Charge (SCC) for each enrolled unit of study. The Student Contribution Charge will vary depending on the unit's Student Contribution Band. Your student contribution pays a proportion of the cost of your course and the remainder of your cost is funded by the Commonwealth Grant Scheme. For more information about Commonwealth Supported Places and HECS-HELP, please visit http://www.goingtouni.gov.au/.
To assist you in calculating your CSP fees, please use the following information:
- Search for the Student Contribution Charge amount and credit points for each unit.
- Additional information about invoicing and due dates
Alternatively Commonwealth supported students wishing to calculate the cost of their units each study period should:
a. Establish your fee admission status (Commonwealth Supported or Full Fee). Full Fee students must use the Full Fee table below; and
b. Commonwealth supported students should read your Commonwealth Support and HECS-HELP booklet and refer to this for your eligibility and the details of what you need to do; and
c. Identify the unit(s) by field of study that you will study and the year of admission or re-entry to your course and
d. From the student contribution charge table, select the appropriate rate for each unit of study.
e. Student contribution charges are indexed each year by the Commonwealth Government.
f. Students studying units in different bands will be invoiced by unit at different rates in the same course.
g. Under certain circumstances students who initially enrolled in a commonwealth supported place may be required to enrol in some units on a fee-paying basis.

These include an increase to the maximum student contribution amount for units of study in accounting, administration, economics and commerce. Students who commence their course after 1 January 2008 will be charged the rates at band 5.
There are transitional arrangements for students who commenced a course of study before 2008 and did not complete it before the end of 2007 (‘2006 - 7 students’). More information about these changes can be found at http://www.goingtouni.gov.au/.

* The amount shown (EFTSL) represents the cost of full-time enrolment for a full year. This is 48 credit points or 4 units per semester and will vary depending on the course and units studied. The Student Contribution Charge is subject to increases each year.
Students may withdraw from a unit without financial penalty prior to census date each study period. However you should note that to withdraw without financial penalty after the census date (remission of HECS-HELP debt and re-credit of Student Learning Entitlement) has very strict legal requirements.
Domestic Students in Fee-paying Places
The tables below shows course fees for a full-time study year (normally 48 credit points) except for courses of duration of less than 12 months. Students completing units in trimester study periods should make the appropriate adjustments. Fee rates are applicable for 2008 new and continuing domestic students and are subject to increases each year. International students living in Australia will be charged the fee on their Letter of Offer issued by the International Office. All fees are in Australian dollars. For further information about your course go to http://www.une.edu.au/courses/2008/courses/list.
Full fee students wishing to calculate the cost of their units each study period should:
a) Establish your fee admission status (CSP or Full Fee), identify your citizenship status (Domestic or International), and the course you are studying; and
b) FEE-HELP supported students should read your FEE-HELP booklet and refer to this for your eligibility and the details of what you need to do; and
c) Identify the course from the table below and select the appropriate rate.
d) Students studying units in different courses will be invoiced by unit at different rates.
e) Go to http://planning.une.edu.au/student/cpunit.htm to check the credit point value and availability of individual units within your course.
f) Apply for FEE-HELP assistance for eligible Australian citizens if required.
g) Go to http://www.goingtouni.gov.au/ and read the FEE-HELP booklet and complete the FEE-HELP application online at http://myune.edu.au/
