CAD Conversion Project
In 2004, FMS commenced the process of capturing all of the Built Environment in AutoCAD on the Main Campus. These electronic drawings will underpin the Univerisity’s Space Management Project. This process will be complete at the end of 2006.
This process has been implemented by sending approximately 60% to an off shore company in India in a series of batches, the establishment of an arrangement with a local service provider, the up-skilling of existing staff and maximising the opportunities that refurbishment works present to update drawings. This approach has been made possible with a comprehensive CAD Standard document.
