Wright Village Path

The initiative was brought about by the need for the University to provide a safe passage for students, staff & visitors between the Wright Village & Elm Ave. The walkway is situated between Wright Village's eastern car park & Elm Ave. Near Elm Ave the walkway devides into two with one path vearing north to the bus shelter & the other continues onto the Elm Ave pedistrian crossing. The walkway is well lit & provides quick east access to the Campus Safety Centre as well as the rest of the other residential colleges, especially at night.

This new concrete walkway and lighting provides a safe travel surface to both able & disable students. It is also a vast improvement on the old track preiously used by students, staff & visitors, and provides a safe all weather surface for those comuting to the academic campus. The project was completed in October 2011.
