Lost Property

Lost property from campus is held at the Safety & Security Office located at Shop 4, UNE Union Arcade, University of New England.

Any enquires regarding lost or found items can be directed to Safety & Security by calling 6773 2099 or by emailing Safety & Security on security@une.edu.au

Reporting Lost Property

When reporting a lost item please provide the following information:

  • Your Name.
  • The name of the owner (if different from above) 
  • A contact address and telephone number. 
  • A description of the item. 
  • Areas on campus where you believe the item may have been lost. 
  • Date that you noticed the item was missing.

Reporting Found Property

Items that have been found can be handed into the Safety & Security office.

The items will be registered and you will be asked to provide the following information:

  • Location on campus where the item was found.
  • When was the item found.

Collecting Property

Lost property may be collected from the Safety & Security Office. When collecting Lost Property you will be asked:

  • To show proof of identity and, if necessary, ownership of the item.
  • To sign the register to acknowledge that you have received the item of Lost Property.

Unclaimed Property

All lost property is held by Safety & Security for a period of 3 months. If unclaimed after this time the items are distributed to organisations such as The Salvation Army, St Vincent de Paul, or the Campus Bookshop to dispose of.
