Qantas Club Corporate Membership
The
University of New England has a Qantas Preferred Airline Agreement
as part of the Qantas National University
Airline Agreement, for Domestic and International Air Travel.
The
Agreement provides significant discounts on all published fares,
including those of Qantas Codeshare flights.
The Agreement does not restrict the utilisation of other airlines either domestic or international, where appropriate, either for convenience or where other discounts are beneficial.
The
Agreement is for a five (5) year term commencing on 1 August 2003,
ending on
31
July 2008 and will be managed through the University's
Travel Manager,
New England Travel Centre.
The offer also includes special arrangements with respect to Qantas Club Corporate Membership.
Qantas Club application forms should be completed and returned to the Qantas Club Coordinator, Katy Bell in Financial Services or emailed to kbell22@une.edu.au. Particular attention should be paid to the information below.
1. The University will only sponsor Qantas Club membership for staff at Head of School, Director and above classifications.
2. Existing members who fail to qualify under point (1) and whose membership extends beyond 31 December 2007 may continue their membership until expiry.
3. Existing members who fail to qualify under point (1) may renew their membership by personally paying their membership fees via the Qantas Club Coordinator. (Personal funds do not include APF's)
4. Staff members who fail to qualify and consider their membership of the Qantas Club is warranted may seek an exemption to point (1) by lodging an application in writing to the Director, Financial Services, dfs@une.edu.au setting out the reasons and clear justification why membership should be granted.
It should be noted that it can take from 3-4 weeks for application forms to be processed by Qantas.
